The media converter can be used anywhere in a network to integrate newer technology with existing equipment to support new applications, technologies, and future growth. Instead of performing an expensive overhaul, media converters can extend the lifespan of existing cables and active equipment. The auto-negotiation feature allows the UTP port to automatically select 10/100/1000M and Full Duplex or Half Duplex. The UTP port supports automatic MDI/MDI-X crossover connections.
